With loads of revised features, the new 2020 Acura TLX is coming on to the market. Even though rumors are saying that most of the parts will remain unchanged, car enthusiasts still expect some minor changes here and there. Offered in three main trim levels, the new Acura TLX is indeed worth a deeper look.
For the 2020 model, the new Acura TLX comes as midsize sedan with sporty handling. This new ride also offers a roomy interior so that passengers can sit comfortable without feeling cramped. Further, the new TLX also gets all-wheel-drive system which is good for any terrain.
2020 Acura TLX Redesign and Changes
Like has been mentioned before, the new 2020 Acura TLX will be available in three main trim levels. Those are base, Technology, and Advance. The base model rides on the standard 17-inch wheels. It also gets standard features including all-steering wheel, LED headlights and taillights, heated side mirrors and a sunroof.
The inside of the base TLX model comes standard with ambient interior lighting, vinyl upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a four-way power front passenger seat, heated front seats, and an eight-way power driver seat.
Further, it also gets standard Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity. Other infotainment system includes an upper 8-inch display and a lower 7-inchh touch screen, smartphone app integration, a USB audio interface, and a 7-speaker audio system with a CD player.
As for the Technology package, it adds a navigation system, leather upholstery, a color trip computer, and an Acur/ELS 10-speaker audio system with HD radio. Further, the Technology package also packs more electronic safety features such as a blind-spot monitoring system, lane-departure warning, and lane-departure intervention.
Last but not least is the Advance package which brings 18-inch wheels. It also packs front and rear parking sensors, LED foglights, adaptive cruise control and a forward collision mitigation system.
2020 Acura TLX Engine Specs
There are two engine options available for the new Acura TLX. The first engine is a 2.4 L four-cylinder engine. The first engine is capable of producing 206 horsepower and 182 pound-feet of torque. Using this 2.4L engine, the new TLX is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds.
The second engine under the hood of the 2020 Acura TLX is a 3.5 L V6 engine. This is capable of making 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated with a specialized eight-speed automated manual transmission. The V6 engine is available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
